Assam Higher Secondary Education Council also is known as AHSEC which was established on 32 years ago on 1984 is the board of education in Assam state. AHSEC regulates, and administer the system of higher secondary (Intermediate) education in all districts of the state.
The Board of Secondary Education, Assam also called as SEBA which was established on 1962 is the state examination authority which conducts secondary class (High school) board examinations in all the districts of the state and gives High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) to those who pass the board exams.
AHSEC and SEBA both conduct the board examinations of class Intermediate (Class 12th) and class High School (Class 10th) respectively in the state and give authority to the many private and public schools of the state to provide the quality education according to their course of content in the state.
Every year around four lakhs of students register and appear in the board examinations of HSLC and Intermediate classes and more than 85% of students pass the examinations each year.
